Creative Sparks
In response to the restriction of physical programs due to COVID-19 in 2020, Umbrella called for innovative program proposals for digital experiences. The Creative Sparks stream of this program focused on artist-led experiences that excite and innovate.
Creative Sparks received generous support from the Regional Arts Development Fund through 2020. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Umbrella also delivered new Creative Kids commissions and Creative Industries programs as separate streams.
COVID Safe Visits
Umbrella asks that visitors adhere to social distancing, visitor logs, and other COVID Safe directives and procedures as directed.

Gallery closed Mondays, public holidays and during exhibition install weeks.
