Street View: The Mark

'Congratulations, you've unlocked a digital artwork of The Mark.'

This digital artwork has been drawn by Julie Woodlock. Julie Woodlock is the artist behind the pseudonym 'julesartworks'. She has been painting for more than 30 years and became passionate about the environment when living in Darwin after she moved from her birth city,  Melbourne. Her work was always around the extremities and harshness of the environment and the weather patterns. This is also where her interest in Indigenous knowledges started. Since coming to Magnetic Island her art has taken on a more provocative approach as she has became involved in protecting the Great Barrier Reef and the imminent threats to the global environment.
