Street View: Old Jetty (Remains)

'Congratulations, you've unlocked a digital artwork of Old Jetty (Remains).'

This digital artwork has been drawn by Carole Howlett. Carole Howlett was born, raised and gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art in the UK. Carole has lived in Townsville since 1996 and currently a resident artist at Drill Hall Studio, where she teaches regular art classes. Carole's main practices include painting and drawing in various mediums, with a focus on style and portrayal. For Carole, it isn’t just about the decision making and problem solving but her immediate response and first impression of a subject. This dictates her approach to the artwork, by using her initial reaction as a foothold. Carole enjoys the freedom of a painting but also the controlled construction of a drawing and believes they go hand in hand as her drawing skills improve her painting ability and vice versa.
