Colouring NQ
The concept of creating a digital colouring-in book was initiated by Umbrella in early 2020 in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus restrictions around delivering physical arts projects. In partnership with the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN) North Queensland, Umbrella delivered paid opportunities to artists during the period of economic downturn. Ten emerging and early-career stage artists from the North Queensland area were commissioned to create one artwork each. Short statements about these artists can be found on the last page of this digital book.
The result of these artworks is a free, downloadable colouring-in book. The aim was to engage children (and the young-at-heart) with a visual arts project to complete in their own homes.
The digital colouring-in book features full project and artist information, however you can also download individual pages below.
While this was a paid project for artists and is free to download, you are welcome to Donate to Umbrella to support future projects.
