About the artist
After graduating from the University of Southern Queensland in 2000, with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Nic Plowman continues to create a body of work which is both ‘profound and authentic’, generating compelling work with bold compositions and superb draughtsmanship. His work is largely autobiographical and explores themes of mortality, fear, triumph and masculinity.
“Profoundly personal and utterly authentic, the power of Plowman’s work lies in his ability to express beauty where we did not expect to find it…work which presents ‘a view from the edge’, that is at once confronting, poignant and inspirational.”
