Fringe Art Trail
The Fringe Art Trail is an extension of PUNQ's site-specific programs. Artists across the region have transformed their studios, shops, and chosen spaces into temporary exhibition hubs open to PUNQ audiences to explore.
The PUNQ Fringe Art Trail offers a unique opportunity for regional artists to showcase their work alongside the festival's broader program, gain exposure, connect with new audiences, and participate in a vibrant artistic community.
This year, we've curated an incredible selection of local artists who will be showcasing their work across Gurambilbarra / Townsville, Yunbenun / Magnetic Island, Warrgamay, Nywaigi & Bandjin Country / Hinchinbrook and Gudjal Country / Charters Towers.
The Fringe Art Trails will be integrated into our curated Warrgamay, Nywaigi & Bandjin Country / Hinchinbrook Tour and Yunbenun / Magnetic Island Tour, offering a well-rounded and accessible experience that combines the main event with a deeper exploration of the region's creative soul.

PUNQ respectfully acknowledges the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun and the surrounding groups of our region; Bindal, Gugu Badhan, Nywaigi, Warrgamay, Bandjin and Gudjal as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, share and celebrate local creative practice. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the first people of Australia. They have never ceded sovereignty and remain strong in their enduring connection to land and Culture.
