Travelling by String by Bernadette Boscacci
16 August - 22 September
The title of this exhibition relates to an elemental way of being and moving through the world. The environment of objects and images presented by Bernadette Boscacci reflects her artistic enquiries into her own creative journey and deep love of nature. The exhibition marks 20 years since Bernadette returned to live and work in Townsville, and 20 years since her first solo exhibition at Umbrella Studio.
Bernadette Boscacci will be giving a floortalk about Travelling by String on Sunday 18 August at 10am, followed by Barbara Pierce’s floor talk for her exhibition Sheltering.
Please note the exhibition and floortalks will be held in a temporary location at downstairs 380 Flinders Street.
Both exhibitions will be on display from 6pm Friday 16 August until 22 September 2019.
Umbrella Studio is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, and the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, state and territory governments.
Travelling by String was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, provided through Regional Arts Australia, administered by Flying Arts Alliance.
