Today is not tomorrow: PTSD Understories
8 November, 2019 - 15 December, 2019
This group exhibition aims to raise community awareness about the ways that post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects individuals, families and communities. It also reflects on the ways that artistic practice can foster mental health. The exhibit includes works from established and emerging North Queensland and Australian artists who draw on a range of artistic, professional and personal experiences relating to PTSD.
Today is not tomorrow: PTSD Understories has been curated by Dr Robin Rodd, College of Arts, Society & Education, James Cook University and features artists Uli Liessmann, Jenny Mulcahy, Kim Herringe, Bernadette Boscacci, Toni-Lee Birch, Julie Woodlock, Carmel Jones, Al Green and Jan Hynes.
