Etching Workshops with Jill O’Sullivan

19 September @ 9:00 am - 27 September @ 5:00 pm

| See below for prices
Bundle

Join Umbrella and master printmaker Jill O’Sullivan for two weekend intaglio courses designed to build and extend upon the participants’ printmaking skills. Intaglio printing is produced from ink below the surface of the plate, when the design is etched, cut or scratched into the printing plate or surface. Jill will provide ongoing demonstrations and participants will be encouraged to experiment and develop their skill base. Participants will each produce small editions of their work.

All workshops will be held in the downstairs Makerspace of Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts, 408 Flinders Street, Townsville (next to Mary Who? Bookshop and opposite Woolworths). Participants are required to wear covered footwear, and are encouraged to bring their own sketch book, image ideas and disposable masks. All other materials (including copper plates and paper) and morning tea will be provided.

Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to get their value for money and learn the techniques and tips that Jill has to share. Please note that the below prices are all at extremely subsidised rates due to the generosity of the artist – take advantage of this incredible opportunity and book your tickets now.
