Jacinta Lisec is an artist and secondary teacher. She enjoys working with a variety of media, especially within drawing, painting and digital imaging. The subjects that inspire Jacinta are the people and places from her personal life.

Jacinta is continually seeking opportunities to broaden her skills as both a teacher and Visual Art practitioner. To satisfy her enthusiasm for acquiring new knowledge within The Arts, Jacinta travelled to Japan in 2006 with Education Queensland for a Study Tour. In 2007, whilst teaching at Northern Beaches State High School in Townsville, Jacinta designed and led the collaborative making of a commemorative painting for the school's 10th anniversary. With an interest in maintaining links with her local art community, Jacinta displayed several artworks in community based exhibitions during 2008 at Umbrella Studio and Perc Tucker Regional Gallery. From 2009 she has continued to extend her skills for effective teaching and learning by presenting Visual Art workshops for children at Cairns Regional Gallery.
