2024 Umbrella Members' Exhibition

Artificial: 2024 Umbrella Members’ Exhibition, Digital composite image including manipulated AI-prompted images, courtesy Daniel Qualischefski of Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts.

Umbrella’s annual Members’ exhibition is back with the thought-provoking theme of 'Artificial'. Our members have been inspired by artificial materials, artificial intelligence, and less literal interpretations of the theme – the artificial division of people, our declining natural environment, and the inevitable change of employment due to ever-evolving technology.

The exhibition again features prominent prizes, the $500 Light Through a Lens Photomedia Prize* (proudly sponsored by Garrick's Camera House), and the $1,000 Art Prize

Exhibitions launch
6pm Friday 21 June 2024
Full event details coming soon

*To qualify for the Light Through a Lens Photomedia Prize, artworks must have been captured through a lens of any type (i.e. video or photography camera, analogue or digital), however the medium, materials, and method are otherwise up to the artist.
